While we were in New Jersey we went to Wildwood Beach. The beach there is lined with Doo Wop motels, neon signs, and condos. I can imagine this beach is full of people for miles in the summer. However, we came in the offseason, lucky for us. Most everything was closed and we shared the beach with just a few people. What makes this even better, if you can get better than that, is that we had perfect weather. We swam in the ocean, played in the waves, enjoyed the soft sand and took naps while we tanned. It was very relaxing. Coming in the offseason also made it easy for me to paint right there on the beach and make a video for my Youtube channel. As much as I love people, I think visiting places in the offseason is the way to go.

Our home base why we travel, is Idaho where our family is from. I lived close by the Snake River on a small farm. I love the land there. My grandpa grew corn, we had an orchard and a few animals. It was my heaven.
Just down the road is Shoshone Falls - the Niagra of the West. I can take the trail near me by the Perrine Bridge and walk all the way to the waterfall. A great view and workout. This painting is of Shoshone Falls.
We lived in Alaska seven years and made such wonderful friends there. Some friends live on the many beautiful lakes in this state. They captured this scene at 12:30 a.m. in the summer, WOW! With the glow of the sunset and that gorgeous fireweed flower, I just had to paint this scene. If you are looking for eye popping -nature loving paintings this one is it. Only the original is being sold at this time.
